29.5.–21.6.2026Materialized Time and Light on Paper At Sirja Moberg's exhibition, one encounters camera-less and “slow photographs” such as chemigram, lumen, and soil chromatography prints, as well as an installation built from&nbsp; photography and soil. The works explore the hidden history of the forest landscape through a&nbsp; dialogue between art and science, connected to the soil, and geomancy. Moberg is fascinated by the agency of photography as a revealer, concealer, and delimeter of reality.&nbsp; In the Light Geomancy exhibition at Galleria Ars Libera Moberg delves into the durability and&nbsp; materiality of camera-less photography, and examination of the invisible nature. Moberg often works on long-term projects in the expanded field of photography, bioart, installation, and video. The photographs in the exhibition are traces of living organisms drawn by light onto photographic paper. These traces parallel geomancy, an ancient divination method involving the casting and interpretation of sticks, stones, or sand. As a form of photographic and bioart,&nbsp; Moberg employs soil chromatography, a method where soil, forest materials, and peat samples create a visual “memory trace” of the earth on paper. The chromatographs are made on light sensitive filter paper absorbed with a chemical mixture of soil, peat, moss, lichen, or lichen, forming a circular and unique image. This photochemistry technique, originally developed for scientific purposes and adapted by Moberg, reflects the hidden life concealed in the soil. In addition to working in her studio, Moberg undertakes fieldwork in some of Southern Finland’sold growth forests in collaboration with paleoecologist Jemina Djupsjöbacka. The researcher analyzes pollen samples from peat in forest bogs, which can trace the phases of the forest, past vegetation, climate impacts, and the history of forestry. The artist draws inspiration from this&nbsp; on going research and the dialogue between science and art, utilizing research samples as materials for her works—some of which are on display in the exhibition. Since 2020, Moberg&nbsp; has also respectfully collected natural materials from forests and nature reserves, meteorite crater lakes, and the nature of Sápmi for her body of work. “I use peat, sand, stones, and plants I gather from forests, as well as chemical mixtures, as materials for my camera-less photographs. I expose the photographs in nature, indoors, or in a darkroom, typically using expired photographic paper. Through camera-less and handcrafted photographs, I see my work as kind of alchemy and a reflection on the fundamental essence of photography,” Moberg explains. In addition to working in the studio, Moberg undertakes field trips to the most old forests in Southern Finland in dialogue with paleoecologist Jemina Djupsjöbacka. The researcher analyzes pollen samples from bog peat in the forest land, which can be used to trace the stages of the forest, past vegetation,climate effects and the history of forestry. Moberg, in turn, draws inspiration from this ongoingresearch and utilizes research samples as materials for the production of works, the final results of which are presented in the exhibition. The exhibition has been supported by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland and the Finnish Heritage Agency. The photographic works address the invisible and mysterious nature through meteorite craters, soil, the cycle of life, and themes related to deep time and geomancy. The exhibition offers perspectives on contemplating the relationship with nature through experimental photographic representations. Light Geomancy-teokseeni sain inspiraation Muutos.art-talon maaperän syvyyksiin ja geomantian ennustusmenetelmään piiloutuvist aihealueista. Hyödynsin rakennuksen pihapiirin kivi- ja eloperäistä maa-ainesta sekä maaperästä valmistamaani nestettä materiaaleina ilman kameraa syntyville valokuville. Työn teemoina ovat maaperä, siitä ennustaminen, näkymätön luonto valokuvissa sekä mystillinen luontoyhteys. Ensimmäinen osa installaatiota on pöytä, jonka päälle asettelin valoherkkiä valokuvapapereita ja mm. kiviä sekä hiekkaa valottumaan näyttelyn ajaksi. Toinen osa seinällä koostuu hiilipiirros ja lumen-printti &amp; kemigrammi-muodostelmasta, minkä printit toteutin samalla metodilla kuin pöydän kuvat. Kuva-aiheena alttarimaiselle kokonaisuudelle on tamperelaisen taidetalon (ex-toimistotalon) pihapiiristä kerätty maaperä, joka sitoo teoksen ympäristöönsä ja toimii katsojan tulkittavana ennusteena. now(here). The exhibition emphasised the important case of keeping lapinlahti as a cultural, art, mental health and community space, not a corporate and privatised utility. Now(here). was curated by the tourist, Benjamin Phillips Nozdrachev. During the exhibiton over 3000 new signatures were signed in a petition for supporting saving Lapinlahti. Thephoto and video artworks explore the invisible, the mystical, and the diverse nature through soil, the lifecycle, plant life, and the hidden deep time in landscapes. The exhibition also presents soil chromato- graphies, pigment transfer works, as well as object and sculpture installations. The exhibition offers perspectives on reflections over our relationship with nature through experimental photographic methods. Soil is a unifying factor in Moberg’s work, which essentially includes fieldwork trips to nature reserves’ forests, meteorite craters, and the fells of Sápmi nature. From these locations, she has gathered materials and experiences for her works. With the works exhibited at the Porvoo Art Hall, Moberg aims to represent the deep time crystallized in meteorites and trace fossil stones from Kilpisjärvi: How do these extremely slow changes in cosmic and geological time compare to the brief span of human life? In addition to directing her camera towards these earthy elements, as seen in the video work ”Kuonjarjohka” and in the video made with a microscope, ”A Childhood Dream – Meteorites”, Moberg uses sand, stones, and plants as materials in the creation of analog photographs. The exhibition also showcases an alternative way of utilizing soil chromatography, originally developed for agriculture. Chromatographies that make useof soil and forest materials along with photo chemicals allow the viewer to, as it were, look into the earth and reflect on the vitality that originates from it. ”The connection to nature and its mysteries is at the core of my artistic practise. I am particularly puzzledby how photography acts as a revealer, concealer, and delimiter of these aspects, as well as of reality itself. Experimental photographic processes and their combination with other artistic techniques are the driving force that moves my work forward,” Moberg explains. The artist has also drawn inspiration from the ancientFinnish belief that the underworld was the night side of all existence. Therefore, ”The Underlying” exhibition looks beneath the surface of reality to things that do not appear to the naked eye. The aim of the project was to create a dialogue between the young people of Haparanda and Tornio and the local inhabitants. Young people on both sides of the border could meet, plan and create art together. The project had two parts, one part was created in Tornio and the other part in Haparanda.The project involved two buildings, Röyttäntie 4, an apartment building in Tornio, Finland and Tornedalsskolan school in Haparanda, Sweden. Artists and groups created art in June and July 2023, and a two-part exhibition was held in both buildings during August and September 2023. Moberg's themes intertwine around the soil, cycle of life, plant life and deep time in nature. The exhibition constructs of video works, soil chromatograms, pigment transfer canvases and object &amp; sculpture installations. The exhibition also includes Moberg's analog photographs which she made during her artis in residency period at CYAN Darkroom, Oslo, in the spring of 2023. The soil is a unifying factor in Moberg's work, which essentially includes work trips to the forests of nature reserves, meteorite craters and the fell of the Sámi Land. The exhibition in Gallery Rajatila combines these projects into a single whole, and offers perspectives on the significance of the soil and the nature relationship through photographic representations. The exhibition is a continuation of the soil-themed exhibition Soil Experiments, at Photo Center Nykyaika in the winter of 2023. ”The connection to nature and nature mysticism are at the core of my artistic practise. In particular, I'm fascinated by the reality claim and agency of a photograph as a revealer, concealer and delimiter of reality. Experimental photographic processes and combining them with other art techniques are always fascinating to me and the driving force behind my work," says Moberg. Moberg is interested in the state of our planet's cosmic interaction, and she experiences meteorites that strike the Earth as a communicator of that interaction. In her exhibition works, she examines&nbsp; the deep time crystallizing in meteorites and trace fossil rocks from Kilpisjärvi. In addition to placing elements of the soil as the object of her camera, as in Kuonarjohka video piece and in a video made with a microscope called A Childhood dream – Meteorites, the artist uses sand and rocks as material for the completion of an image in her photograms. The exhibition also displays an alternative way of using soil chromatography developed for agriculture in the context of photographic art. Chromatographies utilizing soil and forest materials and photochemistry give the viewer the opportunity to 'see' inside the earth and reflect on the life force emanating from it. Norway CYAN gallery presented me as invited to&nbsp;Nordic Analog Network's Artist in Residence programme at the CYAN Darkroom in April-May in Oslo. My exhibition works included photograms made with caffenol developer, soil- and forest material chromatographs, chemigrams and lumen prints. My darkroom work was experimental and exploratory, while at the same time it had a focus on bioart and a scientific method via soil chromatographs.&nbsp;The chemigrams include using a chemical mixture which contains e.g. parts of soil and forest materials such as lichens and moss in the 'Light beings alchemy I-II' prints. In a series of artist residencies set up as darkroom exchanges the Nordic darkrooms invites analog photo artists to come and work in professional darkrooms.&nbsp;At Cyan Darkroom I worked to investigate the soil and plant life through the collection ofmaterial samples and the creation of analogue darkroom images of them. Through a series of soil chromatograph prints, fotograms, lumen prints and chemigrams, I looked at both the representation of the subject through abstract visual patterns and interpretable information collected in photographic paper. The Soil Experiments exhibition in Photographic Center Nykyaika combines these projects into a single whole, and offers perspectives on the significance of the soil and the nature relationship through photographic representations.&nbsp; The exhibition constructs of working material created during these trips: soil chromatographies, pigment transfer canvases, photographic and video works, and an installation. The connection to nature and nature mysticism are at the core of Moberg’s art. In particular, she is fascinated by the reality claim and agency of a photograph as a revealer, concealer and delimiter of reality. – &nbsp;&nbsp; In our culture, what nature photographs that focus on aesthetics do not show us, and what nature does not necessarily show to the impatient eye of the busyness of everyday life, is at the heart of my work. For example, the soil is a living entity under our feet, but we are constantly in a state of oblivion with it, as if in a dream, Moberg ponders. Moberg’s work is inspired by some ideas of the book by philosopher Emanuele Coccia: The Life of Plants: A Metaphysics of Mixture (2020), according to which the earth is our planetary brains, the stone flesh of the planet and with it an active communicator through the underground roots and minerals of plants. Moberg is also interested in the state of our planet’s cosmic interaction, which she experiences as a communicator of meteorites that strike the Earth. In her exhibition works, she examines meteorites and the deep time crystallizing in the landscapes of craters and trace fossil rocks from Kilpisjärvi. In the exhibition, the chromatography series which uses soil, forest materials and photographic chemistry gives the viewer the opportunity to ‘see’ inside the earth and reflect on the soil as a fundamental pillar of our lives. Soil chromatography is a method developed in the 50s for biodynamic agriculture to study the properties of cultivated soil visually. Moberg’s series of chromatography has been created for the preservation of biodiversity from a nature conservation perspective and from an artist’s personal perspective. In addition to placing elements of the soil as the object of her camera, as in the Kuonarjohka video piece and microscopic photographs of meteorites and trace fossil rocks, the artist uses sand and rocks as material for the completion of an image in her photograms. The joint exhibition at Hippolyte Korjaamo presents the broad and diversefield of analog photography in Finland. The name of the exhibition, Salt, Metal, refers to the chemistry based process of photography in which photosensitive salts are exposed to light and then developed into metal. In addition to the traditional silver gelatin prints and chromogenic colour prints, the exhibition presents for example cyanotype, lumen prints, daguerreotype, wet plate, polaroid, carbon print, bromoil print, photopolymer and chromatography. The joint exhibition presents in total 28 artists: Sara Ahde, Ulla-Maija Alanen, Petri Anttonen, Pira Cousin, Lauri Eriksson, Cosmo Grossbach, Paula Haapalahti, Jenni Haili, J. The artists, designers and photographers expose threats to the fragile ecosystem of the Baltic Sea. Polaris is a study project in which students from Visual Communication Design and Photography departments in Aalto University researched the state of the Baltic Sea from the point of view of the climate change. Paranvoi is concerned as a slime fungus which crawls slowly on rotten wood or stumps searching for food. It can join anoter plasmodium or change it’s form or colour with age. When it turns dry it’s reproductive spores spread everywhere carried by air.The finnish name for the fungus comes from an ancient mythological creature ‘Para’. Myth says that it stole butter from houses and dropped it into the woods. The installation seen at Emily Carr Uni is a continuation for previous my Paranvoi works. Myth says that it stole butter from houses and dropped it into the woods. Paranvoi photographic collage series concentrates on alternative ways of performing photography. Customary ways of looking photography doesn’t apply to the pieces. Creating new realities becomes possible when a photograph is being made. The stream of pictures expands like a mycelium which kidnaps new surfaces of a photograph. Paranvoi doesn’t create reality. It is a product of imaginary, memories, mental images and emotions. The inspiration for creating my collages comes from this slime fungus that acts like it has a consciousness of its own in its activities. The project has been ongoing since 2013. The most recent part of the series was in a joint exhibition: Perintö:30 in Työhuone 33, Turku in autumn 2017. The video work was inspired by the unexplained light phenomenon 'Paasveen piru' (The Devil of Lake Paasvesi) observed in Paasvesi in Orivesi. The light phenomenon has been observed over a period of several hundred years, and one idea suggests that the phenomenon could be related to the formation of the lake, as the round-shaped lake was created by a meteor impact.The starting point for the work was the stories I had heard and read about the devil in Paasvesi and my interest in natural phenomena that are classified as supernatural. In this topic, I am interested in the camera's ability to record and, on the other hand, what the camera does not see. Can the camera see what the human eye cannot? What is the significance of footage classified as supernatural? In the work, I deal with making the subconscious of the human mind visible through art. Art acts as a bridge between different worlds. More important to me than the end result was the production process, in which the work was created as if dictated by the subconscious without prior planning. It was born out of the need to purify stagnant energy and work it into a concrete and visible object from the perception of the mind. Undefined presence was situated in Marjaniemi nature trail in Ruissalo, Turku 2015. The presenting environment of a photograph doesn’t always have&nbsp; to be a public (or private) wall or a room. The artwork of the exhibition Undefined presence were alongside a nature trail. Inspiration for my pieces came from the surrounding nature, my own nature relationship and of the amazement that I feel towards the essence of photography. I pondered on the communication between a photograph and nature and what is undefined in a photograph.&nbsp; I wanted to see what kind of presence a photograph has in nature. A mirror sculpture that is also named Undefined presence got its idea from a desire to represent a photograph in nature in a way that’s not usual for a photograph. A photograph is like a mirror. A photograph is used to capture limited pieces of the environment. The mirror sculpture contains hundreds of reflections: photographs of its surroundings in the same way. The work reflected the uncontrollable nature with its broken surface. I picked out the original proof sheets from the trashcan in a color darkroom. They are photopaper that are used to clean the darkrooms printing machine with. As a result of the cleaning process comes out an abstract photograph that is born by a coincidence. Its meanings are limitless. These ‘photographs by chance’ got me thinking about questions: what is the essence of a photograph? What is a photograph? Trash turned out to be meaningful and multi significance artwork. I scanned and printed pigmentprints of the original proof sheets and presented them in nature by hanging the pigmentprints in trees. I brought them in nature because a viewer automatically tries to&nbsp; perceive landscapes, forms and natures light phenomenons in these abstract colors and shapes. It’s interesting to ponder what kind of films and photographs these images have been formed of. What kind of landscapes, environments, things and people or how much light and color has been&nbsp; captured in time and space so that the colour machines proof sheets have turned out to be just like these photos. The presenting environment and its connection to the surroundings rose in an important role in my exhibition which I built alongside the nature trail of Marjaniemi. The photo is my self-portrait and it was framed and hanged in a cavity of a tree. The cavity for it’s part looks like nature’s own frame. Looking at the portrait a viewer places oneself in front of one kind&nbsp; of an altar by nature. The tree in question has got an extra object by its side. Why? (art)objects that don’t belong in the nature awakcontradictory thoughts in the viewers mind and I continue exploring this. Human is a part of nature but doesn’t always remember it. exhibition Finnish Museum of Photograpy &nbsp;2020 People often feel like they are watching nature from the outside, as though they are observing, molding or controlling it. I believe that the photograph in particular has a dangerous capability to mold and limit the Western perception of nature. Humans are an inseparable part of nature. Nature is an entity that contains numerous phenomena still unknown to science. In my work, I examine how these unknown phenomena affect our perception of nature and how art can make this unknown reality visible. I have filmed crater lakes in Finland, Estonia and Oregon USA. These lakes have been linked to various supernatural phenomena on-going scientific research and folklore regarding their formation. Respecting the infinite diversity of nature, its unexplainable phenomena and structures, as well as this folklore is at the heart of my work. Fact and fiction, scientific, artistic and the personal intertwine in The Crater Lake Project. &nbsp; Video of Paasvesi crater lake&nbsp; The video from installation Entities of light (2017) is the origin and the main theme of The Crater Lake Project. The installation is inspired by a light phenomenon called Paasveen piru (the devil of lake Paasvesi) that is indefinitely an unexplained light phenomenom and it’s been observed hundreds of years by locals around the lake. The devil is a bright light sphere hovering above the waters of the lake moving and changing it’s directions rapidly. According to one opinion the phenomenom might be associated with the way the round shaped lake was originated: by a meteor strike. The pressure from the impact caused these marks on the rock surfaces which I traced onto a paper with charcoal. Through the gesture of rubbing the paper with my hand on these rocks I could become closer physically with the soil and the historical catastrophe of the impact within the soil. Somehow this natural phenomena became to feel more personal for me. The charcoal traces which are imprinted on the paper are in a way images of the meteor strike that happened millions of years ago. The prints are from photographs taken from the shore of the Summasjärvicrater from the summer of 2018. According to the researchers, there is a hitherto unknown anomaly in the conductivity of the water near the crater. For this reason, I cropped and scaled the photos I took of the water to larger images for my silk screen prints. They are images of the combination of the state of water and light: abstract forms that look like microscopic cells. Lumen print, Pigment print (a digital scan of a Lumen print) The Underlying Solo exhibitionPorvoon Taidehalli (Porvoo Art Hall), Porvoo FIN16.2.–24.3.2024 Sirja Moberg’s exhibition ”The Underlying” unfolds in Porvoo Art Hall in ritualistic formations. The photo and video artworks explore the invisible, the mystical, and the diverse nature through soil, the lifecycle, plant life, and the hidden deep time in landscapes. The exhibition also presents soil chromatographies, pigment transfer works, as well as object and sculpture installations. The exhibition offers pers pectives on reflections over our relationship with nature through experimental photographic methods. Soil is a unifying factor in Moberg’s work, which essentially includes fieldwork trips to nature reserves’ forests, meteorite craters, and the fells of Sápmi nature. From these locations, she has gathered materials an experiences for her works. With the works exhibited at the Porvoo Art Hall, Moberg aims to represent the deep time crystallized in meteorites and trace fossil stones from Kilpisjärvi: How do these extremely slow changes in cosmic and geological time compare to the brief span of human life? In addition to directing her camera towards these earthy elements, as seen in the video work ”Kuonjarjokka” and in the video made with a microscope, ”A Childhood Dream – Meteorites”, Moberg uses sand, stones and plants as materials in the creation of analog photographs. The exhibition also showcases an alternativ way of utilizing soil chromatography, originally developed for agriculture. Chromatographies that make use of soil and forest materials along with photo chemicals allow the viewer to, as it were, look into the earth and reflect on the vitality that originates from it. ”The connection to nature and its mysteries is at the core of my artistic practise. I am particularly puzzle by how photography acts as a revealer, concealer, and delimiter of these aspects, as well as of reality itself. Experimental photographic processes and their combination with other artistic techniques are the drivingforce that moves my work forward,” Moberg explains. The artist has also drawn inspiration from the ancient Finnish belief that the underworld was the night side of all existence. I've had solo exhibitions in nature and in gallery spaces. I've participated in numerous joint and group exhibitions in Finnish galleries and museums and I graduated with my MA from Aalto University's photography department in Finland, 2020. It is natural for me to work with alternative processes in photography because it has been that way from the beginning for me. I am always looking for ways to develop in my artistic practise and work with new techniques. That is what keeps my drive on, to feel in a way like an alchemist of art. My practice is experimental and exploratory, while at the same time I have focus on combining art, scientific methods, bioart and visual research. For me alternative processes in photography have a certain sense of magic and I always seek ways of revealing something invisible or unknown in the nature and bring it visible and multimeaningful via the freedom of art. Photographic processes and combining them with other art techniques seems limitless and that's what has always interested me the most in photography. 2: What does a slow and analogue process ad to an image, a project and to your own work?My projects are long-term, and I work with experimental photography, video, light, installation, sculpture and bioart. That is why I am friends with analogue photo processes because my projects usually take time (years) with research, making field trips, learning techniques and going experimental with them, like with soil chromatograpgs which I've developed to make from other forest materials aswell e.g. lichens. I feel analogue process ads perhaps a more autehntic, intimate and crafty feeling to an image for the viewer and also for the artist. Slow process through the sensation of making something physical gives meaning for my daily life as an artist and it allows me to ponder the contents also more profoundly of my images. The connection to nature and nature mysticism are at the core of my art. In particular, I am fascinated by the reality claim and agency of a photograph as a revealer, concealer and delimiter of reality. In our Western culture, what nature photographs that focus on aesthetics do not show us, and what nature does not necessarily show to the impatient eye of the busyness of everyday life, is at the heart of my work. The slower processes of a phtograph. For example, the soil is a living entity under our feet, but we are constantly in a state of oblivion with it, as if in a dream. Soil has been a big theme in my recent projects. My artistic field trips to forests of nature reserves, meteorite craters and the fells of the Finnish Sámi Land combine my interest in soil and addressing it throught photographic represenation. 3: Do you think that the analogue processes will get a revival in our digital age? (And if so, why)In my opinion analogue processes have been making a come back for many years already. I see it in the contemporary art and photography scene and I hear it in the conversations. I think people and artists have a need of understanding the medium of a photograph now even more than ever since it has taken over our evey day lives through the masses of images we see (Internet, TV, screens etc.) Photographs define how we understand the world around us. In order to understand the photograph itself one needs to go to the early techniques of photography making, dig into the experimental and feel the materia in one's hands. In addition to the making of analogue images I think is also imortant to read and know the theory of (analogue) photography. We need professionals in photography who have the know-how and ability to read photographs and study how we understand the photographic reality, for example with AI. Helsingissä asuva kuvataiteilija. Hän valmistui taiteen maisteriksi Aalto-yliopistosta, erikoistuen valokuvaan vuonna 2020. Moberg työskentelee usein pitkäaikaisissa projekteissaan valokuvauksen laajennetun kentän, biotaiteen, installaation, julkisen taiteen ja videon parissa. Mobergin viimeaikaiset teokset, kuten Luovan valokuvan keskuksen Galleria Ratamon ‘Light Beings Alchemy’ (2026) ja Porvoon Taidehallin yksityisnäyttelyssä ‘The Underlying’ (2024), peilaavat metsämaisemaan kätkeytynyttä historiaa, ja tarkastelevat ihmisen ja luonnon välistä animistista suhdetta henkilökohtaisen kokemuksen, tarinallisuuden, geomantian sekä taiteen &amp; tieteen dialogin kautta.&nbsp; Kokeelliset valokuvamenetelmät, samoin kuin taiteen ja tieteen rajapintojen tutkiminen, ovat hänen työlleen tunnusomaisia piirteitä. Hän ammentaa inspiraatiota yhteistyöstä luonnontieteilijöiden kanssa sekä suomalaisista muinaisista uskomuksista ja kansantaruista, jotka liittyvät luontosuhteeseen. Fakta ja fiktio, tieteellinen, taiteellinen ja henkilökohtainen lomittuvat hänen töissään. Kuten astronautti ja fyysikko Mae Jemison on todennut: ”Tiede tarjoaa ymmärrystä universaalista kokemuksesta, ja taiteet tarjoavat universaalin ymmärryksen henkilökohtaisesta kokemuksesta”. Maaperä on yhdistävä tekijä Mobergin työskentelyssä, johon kuuluu olennaisesti työskentelymatkat luonnonsuojelualueiden metsiin, meteoriittikraattereille ja Saamenmaan tunturiin. Työmatkoilta Moberg kerää materiaaleja kuten maaperää, metsäaineksia ja kiviä sekä kokemusmaailmaa työhuonetyöskentelylle. Siellä&nbsp; hän syventyy kamerattoman valokuvan kestoisuuteen ja&nbsp; materiaalisuuteen "slow photography" - menetelmin kemigrammein ja lumen-valokuvin. Syntyvät valokuvat ovat enemmän-kuin-inhimillisten maailmojen välistä yhteyttä: elollisten organismien aikaansaamia ja valon piirtämiä jälkiä valokuvapaperille. Jäljet rinnastuvat geomantiaan, joka on muinainen ennustamisen tapa maahan heitetyistä tikuista, kivistä, hiekasta tai mullasta sekä niiden tulkitsemisesta. Biotaiteen muotona hän käyttää maaperäkromatografiaa, jossa maa- ja turvenäytteet piirtävät paperille maaperän visuaalisen "muistijäljen". “Erityisesti minua askarruttaa valokuvan toimijuus näiden asioiden sekä todellisuuden paljastajana, piilottajana ja rajaajana.” Moberg pohtii. &nbsp; BIO Moberg valmistui Aalto-yliopiston valokuvataiteen maisteriohjelmasta vuonna 2020, ja taiteen kandiksi Turun AMK:n Taideakatemiasta (2015). Hän opiskelee Julkisen taiteen erikoistumisopinnoissa Taideyliopistolla (2025 –). Mobergilla on ollut monia yksityisnäyttelyitä Suomessa sekä ulkomailla vuodesta 2011 lähtien, ja viimeisimmät yksityisnäyttelyt olivat Luovan valokuvan keskuksen Galleria Ratamossa (2026),&nbsp; Porvoon Taidehallissa (2024), Tampereen Galleria Rajatilassa (2023) ja Oslossa CYAN Gallerissa (2023). Hän on osallistunut lukuisiin ryhmänäyttelyihin kuten Resident Landscape -näyttelyyn Oslon Vanhassa Munch Museossa (2025),&nbsp;Muutos.art-näyttelyyn Tampereella (2024),&nbsp;Horizont -purkutalo ryhmänäyttelyyn Suomessa &amp; Ruotsissa, Tornio/ Haaparannassa (2023), Kuoriaisefekti-ryhmänäyttelyyn Helsingin Luonnontieteellisessä museossa (2022), ja Unfold -yhteisnäyttelyyn Suomen valokuvataiteen museossa (2020). Mobergin työskentelyä on tukenut Taiteen edistämiskeskus (2020–2023). Hän on Suomen Biotaiteen Seuran hallituksen puheenjohtajan varajäsen sekä taideyhdistysten kuten MUU ry:n ja Vartiosaari Artists ry:n jäsen. Valokuvakeskus Perissä hän toimi vuosina 2016–2017 taiteellisessa toimikunnassa. Vuonna 2024 taiteilija valittiin Lauttasaaren kevätresidenssiin Monoma &amp; Mushrooming:in kutsumana. Pimiöresidenssiin hänet valittiin Oslon Cyan Darkroom:iin Nordic Analog Networkin kautta (2023). Moberg on ollut Taidelaitos Haihatuksen ja Keuruun Museon Santun Talon taideresidensseissä (2018–2022), milloin Keuruun museo hankki hänen teoksiaan kokoelmiinsa. Syksyllä 2021 hänet valittiin Field_Notes - Traces -työpajaan Suomen Biotaiteen Seuran kutsumana Helsingin yliopiston Kilpisjärven biologiselle tutkimusasemalle. In her practice she works with the expanded field of photography, bioart, installation, sculpture, environmental art and video. The themes of Moberg's work are histories hidden in the natural landscape, such as meteorite lakes, trace fossil stones and bog peat. She feels important to deepen human interconnectedness to nature through photographic practices and bioart. The combination of art and science collaboration and blending it with spiritual thinking and sacred ecology are characteristic features in her work. Moberg draws inspiration from dialogues with scientists, as well as from Finnish ancient beliefs and folk tales that are connected to the relationship with nature. Fact and fiction, scientific, artistic and the personal intertwine in her work. As an astronaut and physicist Mae Jemison has put it: “Science provides an understanding of an universal experience, and arts provide an universal understanding of a personal experience”.Soil is a unifying factor in Moberg’s recent work, which essentially includes fieldwork trips to nature reserves’ forests, meteorite craters, the fells of Sápmi nature as well as her childhood home forests in Northern Savo. From these locations, she has gathered materials and experiences for her photo based lumen and chemigram prints as well as soil chromatographs.”I am particularly puzzled by how photography acts as a revealer, concealer, and delimiter of reality.” Moberg explains. BIO Moberg‘s latest solo exhibitions have been seen in Gallery Ars Libra (2026), the Center of Creative Photography’s Gallery Ratamo in 2026, Porvoo Art Hall (2024) and Gallery Rajatila (2023) in Finland. She has participated in several group exhibitions in Finland and abroad e.g. Resident Landscape exhibition in&nbsp; Oslo in Gamle Munch Museum (2025), Horizont demolition art house exhibition in Finland &amp; Sweden, Tornio/ Haparanda (2023),&nbsp;The Beetle Effect&nbsp;in the Natural History Museum of Helsinki (2022) and Unfold group show by Aalto University second year Photography MA students in The Finnish Museum of Photography (2020), Helsinki. In 2023 Moberg was selected as an artist in residence at Cyan Darkroom via Nordic Analog Network in Oslo (NOR) where she also held a solo exhibition in Cyan Galleri. She is currenlty studying in Specializing in Public Art programme in Uniarts Helsinki (2025 –). Moberg graduated as BFA from Turku Arts Academy (2015) and has also studied in Emily Carr University of Arts + Design in Vancouver, Canada (2019). Moberg’s practice has been promoted by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) 2020–2023 and 2025. She is the Vice Chair of the council of Finnish Bioart Society (2025 – ), a memeber of the Finnish Bioart Society and a member of MUU artists association and Vartiosaari Artists association. In 2024, the artist was selected for the Lauttasaari Spring Residency, invited by Monoma &amp; Mushrooming. In 2023, they were chosen for the Darkroom Residency at Oslo’s Cyan Darkroom through the Nordic Analog Network. Between 2018 and 2022, she participated in residencies at Haihatus and Santun Talo in Keuruu, where the Keuruu Museum also acquired her works for its collection. In autumn 2021, Moberg was selected for the Field_Notes – Traces workshop, invited by the Finnish Bioart Society, held at the University of Helsinki’s Kilpisjärvi Biological Research Station.
